Welcome to Kindergarten
AM Session
9:00-11:45 (Please do not arrive before 8:40am)
PM Session
12:30- 3:15 (Please do not arrive before 12:20pm)
BREAKFAST:
Breakfast is available each morning.
The cost is $1.50 with reduced at $.30 (application forms for
free or reduced breakfast are available in the office).
SNACK:
We have a
snack time everyday.
Your child may bring a simple healthy snack and a drink.
Milk, orange juice and apple juice are available for
$.15/day. Please send
money in an envelope with your child’s name on it.
It is easier if you pay weekly, monthly or even pay for the
whole year at once. (180 days=$27.00).
BIRTHDAYS:
If it is your child’s birthday, you
are welcome to send in a special snack for everyone in the class.
We recommend healthy snacks for the children rather than
candy and sweets. Please send a note ahead of time to let us know
and check with us
*If you are
having a party for your child, we would appreciate it if you would
not ask us to send home invitations from school unless the
whole class is invited since feelings are easily hurt at this age.
We appreciate your understanding.
LIBRARY:
Children
have the opportunity to take a book out of the school library each
week. Books must be
returned before a new book can go home.
TOYS:
Toys from
home are not allowed in the classroom.
They tend to be a distraction during learning time and
feelings are often hurt if a toy gets lost or broken.
VOLUNTEERING:
There will
be many opportunities to volunteer or chaperone during the school
year. You may like to
help out in the classroom during learning centers or join us for a
class party or fieldtrip.
For the safety of your child, it is now the school’s policy
that all volunteers be fingerprinted before working with students.
