Wellness/Nutrition Committee

The SAU9 Wellness/Nutrition Committee is devoted to enhancing the health and wellness of our school communities. In particular, the Wellness/Nutrition Committee is tasked with forming recommendations that strengthen our wellness policies.
The committee supports the school district’s vision to realize the full potential of each and every student. We recognize that a student’s readiness to learn is related to his/her physical and psychological well-being. In doing so, the committee has identified three target areas to address: nutrition, physical activity, and social/emotional health.
The committee members include school representatives, school board members, school nurses, school counselors, family liaisons, teachers, students, and community partners. We are always interested in hearing from any member of the school community and we welcome your involvement. Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month from 3-4:30 p.m. at Kennett High School. Please contact Pamela Clay-Storm at p_claystorm@sau9.org or 356-4350 for more information.
