General Information - Spring Term 2012-
Location
Unless otherwise noted, all classes will be held at the Kennett Career and Technical Center beginning the week of April 2, 2012. No classes will be held during April vacation week, April 16-20, 2012, and Monday, May 28, 2012. Look for alternate locations in the course descriptions.
Handicap Access
If a student is handicapped and needs special assistance, please contact Pat Philbrick, Program Coordinator, at 447-3729 prior to the start of class.
Eligibility
All classes are open to all area residents, 16 years or older, not currently enrolled in a secondary day-school program. High School students may audit for non-credit, with approval of the Career and Technical Director.
Registration
Registration will take place in the Career and Technical Center Lobby, Wednesday and Thursday, March 28 and 29, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. You may also complete the Registration Form and mail it to the school. See instructions on the Registration Form. Telephone registrations will be honored only when your check has been received. Your check is what guarantees your place in class. If registration forms and checks are not received 48 hours prior to start of class, your space will be given away.
Confirmation of Courses
We do not confirm registrations. Students are notified only if a class is cancelled because of low enrollment.
Cancellation of Classes
Career and Technical Adult Education classes may be cancelled independently of the high school. Cancellation announcements will be made on WBNC and WMWV radio.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the Conway School District buildings, nor on school grounds.
Refunds
In an effort to maintain low tuition rates, we will not refund any tuition unless class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. Credit will be given for future classes. Lab fees will be returned on a prorated basis until the second class, unless otherwise noted.
Scholarships
A variety of sources of assistance are available for those currently unemployed or in need of free or reduced tuition considerations. Call the Pat Philbrick, Program Coordinator for information, 447-3729.
